I grew up in the small town of Eaton, Colorado, where my love for creativity took root. From cooking and music to photography and painting, I’ve always felt a deep connection to making and creating.
I originally dreamed of being a video game music composer and earned a Bachelor's of Music from Colorado State University (I play drums!), but soon changed my mind about my career path and decided to dive headfirst into building my photography business.
When I'm not working, you can find me reading fantasy books on my Kindle while walking my dog, learning to bake sourdough bread, or playing Magic the Gathering with my husband Nico.
Along the way, I also discovered a passion for pressed floral preservation. If you're interested, in having your wedding or event flowers preserved, you can find more information about that here.
My freshman year of college, I desperately NEEDED to find an outlet to continue my photography. I emailed the student newspaper asking if they had any photographer positions available. Luckily they took me in and I went on to photograph for them for the next three years, even serving as Photo Editor during the 2016 election year. I’ve even gone on to photograph for The Greeley Tribune, The Coloradoan, Fort Collins Lifestyle Magazine, and in 2020 had my work printed in some of the bigger news outlets such as CBS Denver, The New York Post and The Washington Times.
My photojournalism background translates seemlessly into photographing weddings.
Covering sports taught me to adapt to any lighting and move quickly—perfect for fast-paced receptions.
Documenting protests sharpened my eye for raw emotion, like heartfelt family moments on your big day.
Breaking news trained me to anticipate the unexpected, ensuring I capture every candid moment, while editorial work honed my creativity and ability to make people feel at ease in front of the camera.
Journalism has led me to photograph everywhere from pitch black cocktail bars on a Friday night to a college football game during the harshest sunlight of the day and everyone from presidential candidates to everyday small business owners. Photojournalism has prepared me to document you authentically, with a mix of magazine-worthy portraits and real, joyful moments.
